Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Quiet Nest ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of store.thequietnest.blog, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, subscribe to our email list, or purchase one of our digital products. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@thequietnest.blog.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to run our business and serve you:

  • Information you give us. Your email address (and, optionally, your name) when you subscribe to our newsletter or download a free guide; and any message content you send us by email.
  • Order information. When you buy a product, our payment provider Paddle collects your name, billing address, country, and payment details to process the transaction and calculate tax. Paddle shares your email address and the purchased product with us so we can deliver your download and provide support. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage data. Standard technical information your browser sends automatically — IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and the pages you view — used in aggregate to keep the site secure and to understand what content is useful.

2. How we use your information

  • To deliver the free resources, digital products, and download links you request.
  • To send you our newsletter and occasional product emails, where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
  • To process payments, issue refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations (carried out by Paddle on our behalf).
  • To maintain the security of the site and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver products you have bought), consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you may withdraw at any time), legal obligation (to keep tax and transaction records), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the site), balanced against your rights.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make our business work, each bound by their own data-protection commitments:

  • Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) — our merchant of record. Paddle processes all payments, handles billing, and remits sales tax/VAT. See the Paddle Buyer Privacy Notice.
  • Email delivery — to send the newsletter and your download links.
  • Hosting and content delivery — to serve this website.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users and business.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EU/UK, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed and for a short period afterwards. Transaction records are retained by Paddle and by us for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically up to seven years). We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which we do not do. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thequietnest.blog and we will respond within the time required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.

9. Children

Our site and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
